Each of us is living a story.
Every thought we think, word we speak, and move we make contributes yet another line to the script of our life story.
But have you ever stopped to consider the larger story we were born into? Or that there are conflicting stories warring for our attention and support? Which story we buy into will have an eternal impact—not only on our personal stories, but also on the stories of all those who will follow after us.
I’ve been learning some pretty neat things about story lately, things I can’t wait to share with you! I like to make connections across subjects, but there is one downside to such connections: organization. Imagine a spiderweb and you’ll be half right.
So, while I organize, here’s a video with a two-fold purpose: to tide you over until my next post and, more importantly, to set the stage for the story we’ll be talking about.
This video is a clip from the introductory lesson on the eighth volume of Ray VanderLaan’s “That The World May Know” series, titled God Heard Their Cry. RVL is an amazing Bible teacher with a passion for bringing the Bible alive that I have never seen equaled. His teachings and influence will definitely find their way into many future posts!
