I bought my favorite coffee mug right out of someone’s hand.
Literally.
I was at a French and Indian War reenactment camp, wandering among the vendors, when I noticed a really great coffee mug one of them was holding.
I asked him where he’d gotten it, but he’d had it for years and couldn’t remember.
But then he asked, “Do you want it?”
I looked at him, puzzled.
He repeated the question. “Do you want it? Name a price.”
I think I paid him ten bucks for it.
Just ask. Sometimes, the answer will surprise you.
